Check and Inflate Tires:
After a long winter of storage, your e-bike's tires may have lost some air pressure. Start by checking the tire pressure and inflating them to the recommended level specified by the manufacturer. Using a good portable pump with a built-in gauge makes light work of spring e-bike maintenance. Proper tire pressure not only ensures a smoother ride but also reduces the risk of flats and improves overall efficiency.
Inspect Brakes and Brake Pads:
Brakes are a crucial safety feature on any bike, including e-bikes. Before hitting the road, inspect both the brake pads and the brake system for any signs of wear or damage. Replace worn-out brake pads, and if you notice any issues with the braking system, such as sponginess or squeaking, it's best to have them professionally serviced to ensure optimal performance.
Clean and Lubricate the Chain:
A clean and well-lubricated chain is essential for smooth shifting and efficient power transfer on your e-bike. Use a chain cleaner and degreaser to remove built-up grime and dirt from the chain, then apply a high-quality bicycle chain lubricant. Make sure to wipe off any excess lubricant to prevent attracting more dirt. Additionally, check the drivetrain for any signs of wear and replace any worn-out components as needed.
Inspect Electrical Components:
E-bikes have electrical components that require regular maintenance to ensure proper functioning. Inspect the battery connections, wiring, and connectors for any signs of damage or corrosion. Clean any dirt or debris from the electrical components, and if you notice any issues with the battery or motor, consult the manufacturer or a professional e-bike mechanic for assistance. Juiced Bikes e-bike owners can reach out to our Southern California based technical support team, boasting decades of experience, by contacting support@juicedbikes.com for assistance.
Test Ride and Adjust:
After performing the necessary maintenance tasks, take your e-bike for a test ride to ensure everything is working correctly. Pay attention to how the bike handles, shifts, and brakes, and make any necessary adjustments to fine-tune the ride quality. This is also a good time to adjust the saddle height, handlebar position, and other fit-related settings to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency.
By following these five tips for springtime e-bike maintenance, you can ensure that your e-bike is ready for the season’s adventures. Regular maintenance not only improves the performance and longevity of your e-bike but also enhances safety and enjoyment during your rides. So, take the time to inspect and maintain your e-bike, and get ready to hit the road or trail with confidence this spring!

Understanding Torque:
Torque, in simple terms, refers to the rotational force generated by an object around an axis. In the context of e-bikes, it's the force that propels you forward when you twist the throttle or pedal. Imagine it as the motor’s muscle power, determining how quickly and effortlessly your e-bike accelerates, especially uphill or in challenging terrains.
Torque is typically measured in Newton-meters (Nm) and serves as a crucial performance metric for e-bikes. While wattage denotes the power output of the motor, torque determines the raw strength or pulling power it can deliver. Higher torque values imply better acceleration and climbing capabilities, making your rides smoother and more enjoyable, particularly in demanding conditions. Our e-bikes range from 85-105 NM of torque, for plenty of help up those hills.
Acceleration: Torque directly influences how swiftly your e-bike picks up speed from a standstill. A higher torque rating means quicker acceleration, enabling you to effortlessly merge into traffic or navigate urban environments with ease. Since all Juiced e-bikes have 85 NM or more, they are super quick off the line, everytime.
Climbing Ability: One of the most significant advantages of e-bikes is their ability to conquer hills without breaking a sweat. Torque plays a pivotal role here, providing the necessary force to ascend steep inclines efficiently. Whether you're commuting to work or exploring rugged trails, ample torque ensures you can tackle uphill challenges without losing momentum.
Load Capacity: For riders carrying heavy cargo or towing trailers, torque becomes even more crucial. It determines the e-bike's ability to maintain speed and stability while hauling significant weight, ensuring a stable and controlled ride regardless of the load.
Battery Efficiency: Interestingly, torque also affects battery efficiency. E-bikes equipped with high-torque motors tend to draw power more efficiently, allowing for longer rides on a single charge. This is particularly beneficial for cyclists embarking on extended journeys or those seeking to maximize their e-bike range.
Choosing the Right Torque for Your E-Bike:
When selecting an e-bike, it's essential to consider your riding preferences and intended use. For urban commuters navigating city streets, moderate torque levels may suffice for swift accelerations and occasional hill climbs. Conversely, off-road enthusiasts and adventure seekers may opt for e-bikes with higher torque ratings to tackle rugged terrain with confidence.
Additionally, factors such as motor type, gear ratio, and overall bike weight can influence torque performance. Direct-drive motors, for instance, often deliver higher torque but may sacrifice some agility compared to geared motors. Similarly, lighter e-bikes equipped with efficient gearing systems can maximize torque output while maintaining maneuverability.
Torque reigns supreme as the driving force behind performance and versatility. Understanding its significance empowers riders to make informed decisions when choosing an e-bike tailored to their needs and preferences. Whether you're zipping through city streets or exploring off-road trails, embracing the power of torque enhances your e-bike experience, propelling you towards new adventures with every pedal stroke.

]]>Love can blossom in many unexpected places, but for our customers Gingerose and Christopher Pixely, the high speed couple actually met at the funeral of a mutual friend. But from that somber occasion, an electric connection was made, leading them down a path of love and companionship that has lasted almost seven years. However, it wasn't until the pandemic hit that they truly discovered the spark that would bring them even closer together: riding e-bikes.
As the rest of the world slowed down, the Pixely's found themselves spending more time together, seeking out new adventures as a married couple. The journey into the world of e-bikes started innocently enough with the rental of an e-scooter in San Diego. While the thrill of cruising along the coast was exhilarating, it was only when they ventured further, hopping on e-bikes on Coronado Island, that they truly felt a sense of liberation. “It was then we realized they made us feel like kids again. And from there we purchased our e-bikes, and it's been quite a ride since. Lol.” joked Gingerose.
Realizing the potential for adventure and exploration, they decided to invest in their own e-bikes, but didn’t really know where to start. “There were so many options available, even just a few years ago. Being our first purchase we were reluctant to buy anything too expensive.” said Christopher, “We pulled the trigger on a no-name brand without seeing it and for a while we were pleasantly surprised. But then came some catastrophic issues with my wife’s e-bike and we called you guys.”
To the couple's surprise, the stars aligned and they were able to swing by and get a HyperScorpion from our San Diego warehouse. Since then the Pixelys have racked up a whopping combined 8,000 miles on their Juiced e-bikes. Little did they know, this chance of fate would not only transform their lives but also lead them to a community that shares their passion.
Enter the Lit Riderz, based out of Southern California, this tight-knit group of friends brought together by a shared love for LED lights, sweet jams and e-bikes of course! Christopher and Gingerose are proud to not only be members but also co-founders of this vibrant e-bike club. What started as 3 couples with a common interest quickly blossomed into something much greater. With synchronized audio banging close to 10,000 watts of sound, a fleet of 24 e-bikes and trikes adorned with over 88,000 LEDs, the award winning bike club lights up the community and bumps positivity wherever they roll. Hosting community rides and taking part in parades all throughout SoCal, inspiring many people to start their own e-bike journey.
But beyond the flashy lights and booming rhythms, it's the camaraderie and sense of belonging that truly sets the Lit Riderz apart. Riding together, they have forged friendships that will last a lifetime and created memories that they will cherish forever.
“For us being together means doing everything together. When we first started riding we enjoyed the freedom and places we saw.” says Christopher, “Eventually, it led us to meet many amazing and wonderful people. E-bikes have brought a lot of us together as a community. And when two people who love each other become a part of that, it strengthens the bond they already have.”
This Valentine's Day, as we reflect on the Pixely’s electric journey together, we are grateful for our role in the unexpected twists and turns that brought them to where they are today. From the depths of grief to the heights of joy, their love has only grown stronger, thanks in part to the simple joy of riding side by side. So here's to love, laughter, super bass and many more miles of adventure ahead.

]]>Way to go! You’re well on your way towards safeguarding yourself against those dangerous electric bike fires you’ve probably seen in the news. But your battery is just one of several vital electric system components in your e-bike — parts like the wiring, controller, and motor should also feature first-rate fire safety certification like UL 2849.
With fewer than five percent of e-bike brands sold in the U.S. certified to UL 2849 standards, it can be challenging finding the perfect bike sporting this essential safety seal of approval. Well, look no further! All current Juiced Bikes models, including the RipCurrent S, RipCurrent, RipRacer and CrossCurrent X models, are now TUV certified to UL 2849 AND SGS certified to UL 2271 standards for the world’s best fire safety protection!
UL Enterprises has been the top independent safety science organization for over 100 years that evaluates and certifies products as safe for consumers. UL is the most respected nationally recognized testing laboratory — and the only testing lab acknowledged worldwide. A product undergoes rigorous durability, resistance, and longevity testing in order to conform to a UL safety standard. For enhanced quality control, UL tests each part of the product separately.
According to UL Enterprises, UL 2849 offers electrical and fire safety certification by evaluating e-bikes’ electrical drive train system, battery system, and charger system combinations. UL 2849, the Standard for Electrical Systems for eBikes, covers all e-bikes and the risk of electric shock and other potential electrocution hazards during charging over its lifespan.
Here is just a glimpse at how in-depth UL 2849 testing goes when evaluating e-bike electrical system components:
Battery cell:
Battery pack:
Electric motor:
Battery charger:
Electric bike:
This internationally-recognized standard is truly the most trusted, comprehensive fire safety certification a product can earn — so why doesn't every electric bike manufacturer have their bikes certified?
Simply put, the evaluation and certification process is expensive and time-consuming, so most e-bike brands skip this essential rider safety measure and rush their products to the market. Unfortunately, this misstep sometimes leads to product defects, fires, and, tragically, injuries or even deaths.
On March 20, 2023, New York City Mayor Eric Adams signed an initiative into law requiring e-bikes, e-scooters, e-mobility devices, and light electric vehicle (EV) battery packs to be certified by a third-party organization.
This law mandated any company selling, leasing, or distributing micromobility devices, such as e-bikes or e-scooters, must obtain certification from UL Solutions or another National Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) to UL 2849 and 2271 standards.
Now that Juiced Bike’s current model line-up is certified to UL 2849 and 2271 standards, they comply with New York City’s latest e-bike safety regulations — including Local Law 39! Any new electric bikes to the Juiced lineup will also be tested and certified to UL standards to maintain compliance. The new Scorpion X2 e-bike is currently being UL tested and certified, which will be finished by the end of the year.
When e-bike manufacturers go the extra mile certifying their bikes to UL standards, they go the extra mile to protect riders and the public’s safety. The holistic approach that UL 2849 takes by evaluating all important electric system components for fire safety gives Juiced riders unparalleled peace of mind knowing they’re riding one of the safest, most exquisitely engineered performance e-bikes around. And when you’re investing so much time, money, and passion in your e-bike, why settle for less?
]]>
Let’s start with the most pressing and obvious way to save money by riding an e-bike instead of a car: LESS GAS! With gas prices increasing so sharply, it’s estimated the average American will spend $4,000 on gas this year. Possibly up to $5,000 if prices continue on this trajectory. Compare that to the shockingly low cost to charge an e-bike, estimated at around $30 per year according to Eco Cost Savings. Not only are you saving thousands of dollars at the pump, you’ll be pitching in to help reduce global dependency on oil and reducing carbon emissions.
The money you save on gas will nearly pay for a new electric bike, but the savings don’t stop at the pump. Maintenance on an e-bike is a tiny fraction of what it costs to maintain a car, and insurance isn’t a requirement for owning or riding an e-bike. In urban areas, riding an electric bike will also save you hundreds, maybe thousands, in parking fees. And, for many riders, their e-bikes have become a primary method for exercising, eliminating expensive gym memberships.
Juiced Bikes currently offers another big financial incentive for its customers: 0% financing on all e-bike purchases when you qualify through Affirm. Start saving and riding now with in-stock electric bikes shipping in just a few days. The joy of zipping past cars AND the pump on a new high-performance Juiced bike is truly a ride like no other!

Because protected bike lanes feature a physical, stationary boundary separating moving car traffic from cyclists, you’re not only safer but less stressed during your ride since you don’t have to mingle with often-distracted motorists. If your city has a few bike lanes, that’s a fantastic start! Ultimately, you’d want your city to offer protected and completely connected bike networks — more on that below!
There’s nothing worse than arriving at your destination only to find no secure place to park your beloved bike! A city that’s truly set up to accommodate electric bikes will provide plenty of safe parking spots everywhere. There are many different types of e-bike parking to look out for, from the classic bike rack to bike lockers. Regardless of which type of parking spots you find in your city, always exercise good judgment and securely lock up your electric bike whenever you park it. Check out our video on how to lock up your e-bike to prevent theft below!
This one is simple — the lower the speed limit for cars, the safer it is for e-bikes. Bike-friendly cities in the U.S., like Portland, Oregon, lead the charge by setting reasonable speed limits for automobiles, with most of its streets having a 20 mph speed limit. These lower speed limits also make it easier for e-bike riders to keep up with the flow of car traffic and make merging and passing a breeze. Remember, most states (if not all) have different speed limits for e-bikes that vary depending on the bike path, street, or area.
Connected bike networks work exactly like a road network in that it offers riders of all ages and abilities multiple routes to get where they’d like to go safely, efficiently, and comfortably. It’s rare when you encounter a road while driving that abruptly ends and forces you to take a dangerous and uncomfortable alternative path to arrive at your destination — but this is an all-too-common experience for e-bike enthusiasts. A good connected bike network should include elements like protected bike lanes, shared-use paths, or car-free streets to give all riders a stress-free riding experience. An excellent example of a solid connected bike network is New York City’s nine-mile stretch of protected bikeways from Brooklyn up the length of Manhattan to the Bronx.
Go anywhere nowadays, and you’ll likely see an increasing number of public charging stations for electric vehicles. Good news, right? Well, the problem for e-bike riders is that these charging stations generally offer Level 2 charging, which accommodates electric cars, but e-bikes use Level 1 charging — the same way you’d charge your cellphone or laptop. Thankfully, states like Oregon are starting to expand public charging stations that offer Level 1 charging to help riders keep their e-bikes juiced up and rolling. And if you’ve ever charged your e-bike battery at a coffee shop without buying anything while awkwardly avoiding eye contact with the scowling employees, you can rejoice knowing that this phenomenon will eventually come to a city near you!
Want your city to be more electric bike-friendly? You have the power to affect change! Chat with neighbors, reach out to your local bike-advocacy group (The League of American Bicyclists is an excellent resource for finding local groups near you!), attend city council meetings — get out there and make your voice heard! It may take some time and effort, but anything worthwhile is worth fighting for.

Before you load up your backpack and saddle up, take this short refresher course in e-bike safety to make sure you’re all up to speed on your safe riding knowledge!
Electric bikes are a fantastic way to get to school, but before you set off this semester, check your local city and state laws to brush up on the latest e-bike laws and regulations. Most states follow a three-class system that classifies electric bicycles the following way:
Always be up to date on your knowledge of relevant e-bike rules and regulations to ensure you’re riding within the law. Helmet laws vary from state to state even if they follow the 3-Class system. And parents — exercise your best judgment to determine whether or not your child is ready to ride an e-bike to school. In California, riders must be at least 16 years old to ride a Class 3 e-bike, and all riders 17 years old and younger must wear a helmet; again, these laws vary state by state. While e-bikes can be just as safe (if not more because premium e-bikes like Juiced models sport premium safety gear like hydraulic disc brakes!) as traditional bikes, they are capable of quick acceleration and high speeds. You can always lock your Juiced bike to Class 2 mode to limit the speed on your kid’s bike. Finally, consider looking into a local e-bike safety course where your kiddo can get hands-on guidance on how to safely operate their electric bike.
If you know how to ride a traditional bicycle, mastering your e-bike should be a breeze! Set aside some time to really learn the ins and outs of your electric bike so you can confidently ride to school. Here are just a few pointers to help you prep for your first ride to school:
Once you’re all set with the test ride, it’s time to study all the rules of the road!
Generally, you follow all the same rules of the road on your e-bike as you would riding a conventional bike (again, consult your local e-bike laws to know all the dos and don’ts). Here are a few of the most essential rules of safe e-bike riding to know:
You can usually find the rules of the road for electric bikes on your state’s DMV website. Do your homework and exercise good judgment when riding to school, and you’ll do fantastic!
Always, always, ALWAYS wear a helmet whenever you ride your bike! This mantra mom used to drill into your head all those years holds tremendous wisdom — using a helmet reduces your risk of serious head injury by 60%. As implied by the name, the battery pack is a removable pack made up of groups of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. The battery pack provides power to your e-bike’s electrical components, including the motor. Most electric bikes use 38 – 48-Volt batteries, but all Juiced Bikes models boast 52-Volt batteries for more power, speed, range, and efficiency.
This e-bike component connects the crankset to the bike frame and enables it to rotate independently. Your electric bike needs the bottom bracket to allow the transmission to rotate.
On most e-bikes, the left lever on your handlebar controls the front brake, and the right lever controls the rear brake. On e-bikes outfitted with hydraulic disc brakes (like all Juiced Bikes models are!), you squeeze the desired brake lever, and brake fluid flows throughout the system, clamping the brake pads onto the disc rotor to slow you down.
The cassette is the group of gear sprockets mounted on the rear wheel’s freehub that allows you to shift gears. Your e-bike’s cassette speed is the number of sprockets it has. For example, the CrossCurrent X has a 9-speed transmission, meaning it has nine sprockets in its cassette.
The chain is composed of alternating wide and narrow links and connects your chainrings to the cassette on your rear wheel. The chain transfers the power you generate from pedaling to the drive wheel of your electric bike, propelling it forward.
These two bike frame tubes run from the bottom bracket to the seat stays, effectively connecting the bottom bracket to the center of your e-bike’s rear wheel.
The crankset is made up of two crank arms that connect your pedals and chainrings over which the chain runs. The crankset, also called the chainset, converts the movement of your pedaling into the energy used to drive the chain, which then drives your bike’s rear wheel.
The controller is a tiny computer that connects all the electrical components of your e-bike (e.g., motor, battery, pedal assist sensor, etc.). Often called the brain of your electric bike, the controller takes your inputs and redistributes power from the battery to perform functions such as powering the motor for pedal assist levels, throttle application, and toggling the headlight. The location of the controller varies by Juiced model — for example, you’ll find it mounted at the bottom of the seatpost on the RipRacer and underneath the seat on the Scorpion.
The rear derailleur is the gear-shifting component on your e-bike. The derailleur’s body includes a parallelogram that moves it from side to side when you use your gear shift lever, which causes the chain to shift between sprockets wheels in the cassette to change the gears on your e-bike.
The down tube on your e-bike is the part of the frame that connects the head tube to the bottom bracket. Because of all the torsion (twisting) that this vital component is subjected to from both ends of the bike, the down tube is one of the most durable parts of your electric bike.
Front and rear fenders help prevent dirt, mud, and other debris from splattering onto your bike and clothes during rides. Fenders are particularly helpful in reducing the amount of grime that splashes up when riding in the rain.
This part of your electric bike holds the front wheel and is turned via the handlebars to steer your bike. The front fork is made up of a steerer tube, crown, fork legs, and dropout.
You use the handlebars to steer your e-bike. Additionally, many key components like the brake levers and throttle are mounted on handlebars conveniently within your reach. There are several different types of handlebars, including standard, BMX (like on our RipRacer!), and drop.
The ultra-bright LED headlight on your Juiced bike lights up your path and increases your visibility to others during rides when the lighting is low. You can turn on the LED headlight by flipping the headlight switch mounted on the handlebars.
The headset is a frequently overlooked but crucial component of your electric bicycle. Fitted into your bike’s head tube, this bearing assembly holds your fork in place and allows you to steer.
The head tube is the short tube at the front of your e-bike frame that connects the handlebars to the wheel fork.
This indispensable component is tasked with the job of slowing your bike down. Hydraulic disc brakes have a closed system of hoses and reservoirs containing brake fluid to operate the brakes. More complex and expensive than mechanical disc braking systems, hydraulic brakes provide superior stopping power, fade resistance, and reliability.
Short for Liquid Crystal Display, the LCD shows you vital metrics such as your speed, range, and battery charge level. You can also perform functions via the LCD that enhance your riding experience, such as adjusting your pedal assist level and activating Walk Mode to make walking your e-bike up driveways less of a sweaty affair.
You push the pedals with your foot to propel your electric bicycle forward. The pedals feature spindles that thread into the ends of your cranks and footrests that rotate on bearings.
Your Juiced bike is equipped with pedal assist sensors that activate the motor whenever you pedal your bike. Your e-bike has either a cadence or torque sensor. Cadence sensors are mounted on the left side of the bottom bracket and turn the motor on when you start pedaling and off when you stop. Torque sensors are located in the rear of the bike to which the derailleur is attached. These more advanced sensors measure how hard you pedal to determine how much power to supply.
All Juiced Bikes feature powerful electric motors built directly into the rear wheel's hub. The rear hub motor converts electricity the battery pack provides into propulsion, giving you that addicting adrenaline-pumping power boost that makes e-bikes so much fun to ride. Rear hub motors have several advantages over front hub motors, including better traction, superior handling, and a smoother ride.
The rear rack expands the utility of your e-bike by increasing its carrying capacity. You can add a pannier bag directly to the rear rack to stow your gear during rides or max out your on-the-go storage by adding any number of spacious baskets to swallow up even more stuff.
You really couldn’t ride your awesome electric bike without a comfy place to park your rear — and a good bike seat provides just that. Available in all shapes and sizes, your e-bike seat features padding and an ergonomic design for optimal comfort during short and long rides.
The seatpost on your electric bike is a long tube that connects the seat to the bike frame. On most Juiced models, you can adjust the seatpost to accommodate a comfortable riding position that fits your body frame.
The seat stays are the two e-bike frame tubes running from the seat tube to the chain stays supporting the rear wheel. The seat stays are usually thin to help make the ride more comfortable.
The seat tube is the part of your electric bike frame that runs from the seatpost to the bottom bracket. A lot is riding on this integral component — it provides structural support to the seat.
The LED taillight draws attention to you and your bike during rides where visibility is compromised, such as at night or in foggy or wet conditions. This essential safety feature goes a long way in making motorists, fellow cyclists, and pedestrians aware of your presence.
The throttle on your e-bike controls the amount of power you get from the motor independently of pedaling. There are two common types of e-bike throttles: thumb and twist. A thumb-type throttle delivers your desired power when you press down the lever with your thumb while you twist the twist-style throttle (like a motorcycle) to get the power you need. Both types of throttle are conveniently mounted on the handlebars.
The top tube is the part of your e-bike frame situated underneath your legs. Top tubes can either be horizontal or sloped, with each type offering pros and cons. Horizontal top tubes are more aerodynamic and provide more space for stowing bikepacking bags but are heavier, while sloped top tubes are lighter and stronger but not as aerodynamic. Some electric bikes feature a step-through frame without a top tube, making it easier for riders to mount and dismount the bike.
There you have it, fellow Juiced heads — a brief breakdown of all the important parts that enable your bike to do all the amazing things it does. We hope this knowledge comes in handy and helps you get the most out of your Juiced bike.
Still haven’t pulled the trigger on a ludicrously fun Juiced bike yet? Take our bike quiz and get hooked up with your best bike options!]]>Even though the above scenario is highly unlikely, you will most likely unleash the savage power of your exhilarating electric bike and hit 28+ mph (a blistering speed that tops the polar bear’s 25-mph stride) at some point. And when you need to inevitably slow down to more sane speeds, you’ll be thankful that your e-bike is enhanced with the most powerful braking system available — hydraulic disc brakes.
These high-performance e-bike brakes are in a class of their own compared to other common electric bike braking systems like mechanical brakes. But why are hydraulic brakes best for e-bikes? And why don’t all electric bikes have them? Read on for answers to these questions and more!
Mechanical disc brakes are about as simple as e-bike braking systems can get. When you squeeze the brake lever, a steel cable tightens and forces the brake pads onto the disc rotor attached to the wheel, slowing your bike down.
Hydraulic disc brakes are much more advanced than mechanical brakes and utilize an intricate sealed system filled with brake fluid. When you squeeze the brake lever, the brake fluid courses throughout the system, clamping the brake pads onto the disc rotor to slow your bike down.
Whether you’re bombing down huge hills or cruising through a congested commute, hydraulic disc brakes offer several advantages over other brakes.
Hydraulic disc brakes consistently deliver superior stopping power compared to mechanical disc brakes. Hydraulic disc braking systems require far less pressure to engage and apply this force more evenly to the brake rotor. This all means that a light tug on the brake lever can summon up serious braking power, which is incredibly helpful on a heftier performance vehicle like an electric bicycle. In addition to tremendous braking power, hydraulic brakes have excellent fade resistance, so your braking performance is maintained even during hard rides.
Hydraulic disc brakes amplify your finger inputs, significantly increasing feedback and modulation to allow you to precisely control the clamping force exerted on the brake rotor. In simpler terms, better brake modulation lets you reduce as much or as little speed as desired without locking up your wheels. Because of this greater modulation, hydraulic disc brakes allow you to stay in control without breaking traction when braking harder. And as any rider who’s flung themselves off their e-bike under hard braking can attest, this is a very good thing!
Mechanical disc brake systems feature a steel cable prone to wear and tear, particularly when exposed to the elements. After several off-road excursions, it’s extremely easy for dirt, mud, and other debris to infiltrate mechanic disc brake systems. On the other hand, hydraulic disc brakes have a fluid system that’s much more efficient at keeping nasty grime out during even the most adventurous rides. As a bonus, hydraulic disc brakes are also easier to set up and require less regular maintenance than mechanical disc brakes, though it’s worth noting that the actual service is a bit pricier and more complex.
Many electric bicycle companies on the market outfit their bikes with mechanical brakes because they’re cheap and simple, but as you know, these braking systems deliver insufficient braking performance (braking power, reliability, fade resistance, etc.) and are more prone to wear and tear than hydraulic disc brakes.
When you’re zooming around on your e-bike at speeds that could easily keep up with the pace of residential area traffic, you absolutely need exceptional brakes that reliably provide forceful, fade-free braking power to help keep you safe out there. While saving a little cash by purchasing an inexpensive e-bike with mechanical brakes is tempting, don’t compromise your safety for small savings!
This is one of the most common questions we get asked by new e-bike riders. E-bikes are water-resistant but not waterproof. But what does that mean exactly and how much water and rain can your e-bike be exposed to before it’s damaged? There are components on your e-bike that have IP ratings, which denote the level of protection that electronics and electrical enclosures have against the ingress of water and solid objects. For example, all Juiced Bike batteries and advanced LCD screens have an IP65 rating, which protects against low-pressure water jets from any direction, condensation, and water spray. With that in mind, riding your bike in light rain is perfectly safe! But, if heavy rain is on the horizon, it’s best to postpone your ride for another day.
All Juiced Bikes with G2 batteries have the highest safety rating for fire protection: SGS certification to UL2271. UL is the most trusted nationally recognized testing laboratory and the only testing lab recognized worldwide. For our batteries to conform to a UL safety standard, they undergo extensive durability, resistance, and longevity testing. To give our riders the ultimate peace of mind and to comply with e-bike safety legislation in a growing number of states, Juiced Bikes is also in the final stages of obtaining certification to UL 2849, which provides fire safety certification for all e-bike electrical systems.
E-bike speeds are determined by the power of the motor AND the power of the rider! Almost all Juiced models go up to 20mph on throttle only and 28mph with pedal assist. The harder you pedal, the faster you will go! The HyperScorpion and HyperScrambler 2 ride even faster, reaching 30mph on throttle alone and 30+ mph on pedal assist. With great speed comes great responsibility, so only ride in these high-speed modes where you're legally allowed.
The answer is yes but it depends on where you live and the age of the child. The age limit varies state-to-state and even city-to-city, for example, in California, riders must be 16 years old to ride a Class 3 e-bike and be wearing a helmet. If the child is younger than 16, they can ride a Class 2 or Class 1 bike only. But in Texas, riders can be 15 years old to operate a Class 3 e-bike. Parents, it’s your responsibility to understand the legal riding age and teach young riders how to safely ride in traffic, no matter where they live. And always be sure they are wearing a helmet!
E-bikes are legal to own and ride in many parts of the United States. However, some states have restrictions on the type of e-bike you can ride and where you can use it. 38 states use the 3 Class System to define e-bikes. Classes 1 and 2 both max out their speed at 20 mph when the motor kicks in. The only difference between these classes is whether the rider must pedal for the motor to turn on. Class 1 requires pedaling, while class 2 bikes can run without the rider pedaling. Class 3 e-bikes reach 28 mph with help from the motor. These classifications make it easier for states to distinguish which e-bikes have legal use and which models have restrictions. Other locations classify e-bikes as motorized vehicles in the same class as mopeds. It’s always best to look up your state and local regulations to determine if it’s legal to ride in your area.
E-bikes are 100% worth the money! Sure, there is an initial investment in purchasing a new electric bicycle, but the savings that follow are considerable if you switch your car miles for e-bike miles! Let’s start with a few hundred dollars worth of savings just on gas per month. Parking costs are instantly eliminated by riding an e-bike. And, regular upkeep on an e-bike is a tiny fraction of what’s spent on maintaining and servicing a car. Then comes the health benefits of riding an electric bike. Riding an electric bike is a great way to keep in shape and get an effective low-impact workout. You can still pedal with vigorous intensity even when you’re using pedal assist. Research even found that e-bike riders get MORE exercise each week than standard cyclists because they end up riding longer distances! Plus electric bikes allow you to spend more time outdoors discovering new hidden gems in your neighborhood AND adventuring even farther to the road less traveled. So don’t wait to discover all the amazing benefits of riding an electric bike!
Finding an e-bike's exact range is complicated and difficult to distill down to one single number. It can be difficult to compare bike models, but you can absolutely expect a longer, farther riding range from a battery with higher volts and amp hours. All Juiced Bikes are equipped with an industry-leading 52V battery which gets 55-100+ miles on a single charge depending on the model and the riding environment. Check out this real-world range test to see how much range you can get!
An e-bike fire doesn’t just happen. It's almost always caused by a cheap battery or gross negligence in battery care by the owner. The most important way to avoid e-bike battery fires is to purchase an e-bike with a battery that is UL safety-complaint. All Juiced Bikes with G2 batteries are SGS certified to UL 2271 meaning they have the highest safety rating for fire protection. Once you’ve purchased an e-bike, never purchase an off-brand or after-market battery or charger. Buy directly from the brand your electric bike is from. When charging, storing and maintaining your battery be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. It’s important to store your battery in a clean, dry and temperature-controlled location. If you’re ever having trouble with your battery, contact the company directly and never try to work on the battery yourself. And finally, never open your battery. Let the trained technicians at your e-bike company do the work for you if something isn’t working properly. For even more information on e-bike fires, check out this article.

Taking care of your mental wellness can mean different things to different people. Some prefer working out, others like meditation, while still others like deep tissue massages. Whatever self-care looks like for you, one of the best things you can do for your mental well-being is to hop on an electric bike and go for a stress-alleviating spin!
An e-bike can foster good mental health in ways like few other things can. Check out some of the best benefits that electric bicycles have for bolstering your mental health!
In today’s hectic world, we all deal with stress to varying degrees. Ultimately, what really matters is how effectively you manage your stress, and taking an invigorating cruise on an e-bike is an extraordinarily effective and healthy way to de-stress. Electric bikes provide plenty of proven stress-alleviating benefits like opportunities for cardio exercise, connecting with nature, mindful meditation, and socializing with friends.
The best part is that squeezing an e-bike ride into even the most chaotic schedules is super easy. You can take a relaxing ride during your free time, during lunch breaks, or to and from work like Dr. Ryan McCorkle does.
The busy ER physician commutes on his HyperScorpion to St. David’s Medical Center and Austin Emergency Center in Austin, Texas, and looks forward to the powerful stress-busting benefits each ride delivers. “When you’ve been in the ER for 8-12 hours pretty stressed out, especially over the last couple of years of COVID, it is a godsend to de-stress and ride that e-bike around a little bit before you come home,” Ryan says. “It gives you a chance to unwind, to feel the wind on your face and you get to look at the beauty of the city of Austin and get to feel better about where you are and what you’re doing and get some perspective before you come home.” Watch how Ryan makes the most out of his commute with his HyperScorpion!
Feeling blue? Hop on your electric bicycle and have a blast zooming down your favorite route! This kind of exhilarating exercise has been proven to lift your mood by flooding your brain and body with feel-good endorphins that can instantly elevate your sense of well-being. Even if you prefer a more leisurely ride on your e-bike, you’ll have tons of fun cruising around on your two-wheeled thrill machine. The option of pedaling with or without power assistance or using the throttle to zip around for a more relaxing ride means you have the flexibility to tailor your riding experience to match your mood.
During the carefree days of childhood, it’s incredibly easy to socialize and nurture meaningful friendships. However, the demands of adulthood make it very challenging to find the time to foster friendships -- this is a huge problem, as friends help prevent loneliness and isolation and can give you a profound sense of purpose and well-being. The good news is that an electric bike can be the perfect companion to kick-start your social calendar!
If you already have buddies who own e-bikes or traditional bikes, plan a fun group ride around your neighborhood, a local bike trail, or even to that hot taco spot you’ve always wanted to check out. Finding new friends is also easy when you own an electric bike. Search online for local e-bike enthusiast groups and meet up to make unforgettable memories with new friends. You can even go for solo rides on your e-bike and meet some fantastic fellow cyclists around your city.

Healthy self-esteem is the foundation of good mental health. The better you feel about yourself, the better you feel in general. And one surefire way to feel better about yourself is to hop on your electric bike and enjoy a fast, fun, and low-impact cardio workout!
The numerous health benefits of using an e-bike for exercise are well-documented (check out our blog on e-bike workouts to learn more!), and more and more riders are discovering just how amazing they look and feel after their rigorous rides. Riding your electric bike for cardio workouts can burn serious calories and help you reach your weight loss goals, boosting your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Owning an e-bike can improve your self-image, too. An electric bike, particularly a Juiced bike, is the perfect vehicle that gives you the freedom to pursue your passions, whether it’s off-road adventuring, camping, hitting beaches, exploring cities, or catching live sports games, concerts, and festivals. When you regularly do something that fulfills you, your self-perception improves, making you feel like you’re living the best version of yourself. And that’s something everyone deserves to experience!
Being mindful is all about living in the moment — and when you’re comfortably cruising down your favorite bike trail or path on your e-bike while a stunning sunset casts an ethereal glow all around you — there’s no better moment!
Indeed, riding an electric bike can provide the perfect opportunity to exercise mindfulness. When you’re in the “flow” and develop a smooth, soothing, and sustainable rhythm where you sync up your pedaling with your breathing, you can liberate your mind from intrusive or negative thoughts and simply be in the here and now.
Focus on taking deep, slow breaths instead of breathing heavily. Adjust your pedaling pace to match your mindful breathing. Remember, mindful e-biking is all about finding that harmonious rhythm where everything just falls into place. Next time you hop on your e-bike and go for a cruise, give mindful cycling a go — you may be surprised at how meditative the whole experience is!
You deserve to put your well-being first every day. Whether you’re looking to stress less, amp up your social life, or feel better about yourself, a Juiced bike provides the perfect solution to taking care of your mental wellness in a fun, healthy, and convenient way. Hop on your bike, maybe meet up with some buddies, and go for a revitalizing ride — you’ll be amazed at how good you’ll feel during and afterward!
There, we said it. Now, you’re probably thinking that, of course, one of the leading e-bike brands would unabashedly make such a bold statement, but hear us out — electric bicycles are frequently easier, more efficient, and more exciting vehicles to take to summer outings than anything with four wheels. And we’ve got five of the most epic summertime activities that are best experienced via e-bike to prove it.
Keep reading below to discover just how much better your summertime can be with an e-bike!
For casual and diehard sports fans alike, there’s nothing better than catching the big game at your favorite stadium! But this road to nirvana is often paved with pain and peril (literally!) — fighting traffic on the way there, fighting for parking, fighting traffic on the way home; it’s enough to make anyone bang their head against their steering wheel. Mercifully, there’s a far superior way to get to the game than your car — a fast, fun, and efficient electric bike!
E-biking to sports games is leagues better than driving. Not only do you have ample opportunities for cardio exercise, but you can often zip past traffic jams and arrive at the game quicker than you would if you drove there, all while having the time of your life! With an e-bike, you never have to stress over finding (or paying!) parking either. You simply breeze past the frantic fans desperately scouring the lot for an open spot, park your bike — usually right at the stadium entrance — and waltz right in. Did we mention that you don’t have to spend an eternity trying to exit the parking lot once the game ends?
Riding your electric bike to see your team play is the winning move. In fact, the Juiced Team recently threw a group ride to catch the San Diego Padres annihilate the competition, and we can vouch for just how flat-out fun it is! Not only is the ride there always a blast, but Petco Park even offers free valet parking for bikes and e-bikes on Sunday Padres games! Check out the video below and see firsthand just how much better ball games can be when you make an electric bike your M.V.P.
If you’re fortunate enough to live within a reasonable distance of a beach, then this is absolutely a must-do summer outing! Whether you’re a beach bum looking to lounge in the sun, an avid surfer, or an adventurous type who wants to explore the coastline to soak in all the natural beauty, a summer beach trip is the perfect backdrop for making unforgettable memories. And an e-bike really elevates the whole experience.
During the crowded summer months, finding a parking spot can be a beast — not to mention having to lug your beach essentials all the way to the shoreline. With an electric bike, however, you can cruise past the packed parking lot and score a sweet spot right up against the shimmering waters while comfortably hauling all your gear in a crate or pannier bag attached to your bike. For surfers looking to ride the perfect wave, you can even conveniently stow your board on your e-bike with a surfboard rack!
Ready to hit the beach on your very own e-bike? Any Juiced model is the ideal companion for fun in the sun, but we recommend a rugged fat-tire electric bike if you plan on actually venturing onto the sandy dunes.
For music lovers, attending a live performance by your favorite artist can be a soul-stirring and transformative experience like no other. The mesmerizing lights, sounds, and energy of feeling the music flowing through your body get your adrenaline pumping like few things around — except for riding an electric bicycle!
Opting to ride your e-bike rather than drive your car to a concert or music festival is the perfect pregame to get you pumped up to see your go-to band, DJ, or artist perform live. Compared to a car, the thrilling ride to the venue on your e-bike is far more exciting, engaging, and visceral, priming your body, mind, and spirit for the transcendent musical experience that awaits you. Amp up the party vibes further by bumping your top tracks on a sweet Bluetooth speaker (standard on the HyperScrambler 2 Founder’s Edition but sold separately as an upgrade for the HyperScrambler 2 and HyperScorpion)!
Once you’ve arrived at the concert or festival venue, you can sail past the stressed-out motorists stuck looking for parking and snag a spot close to the entrance, saving you tons of time and hassle. Plus, you can fully immerse yourself in the live music experience without worrying about slugging it out with traffic once the concert ends. Now that’s music to anyone’s ears!
Did you know that a growing number of golf courses allow you to use your electric bike like a golf cart? That’s right — imagine cruising around the beautiful greens on your comfortable, convenient, and crazy fun e-bike! More and more golfers are swapping golf carts for electric bikes for the many advantages they provide, including:
So which type of e-bike is best suited for caddy duty? It’s definitely a personal preference, but the accessibility and easy mounting and dismounting offered by step-through electric bikes are hard to top.
Not too long ago, our gorgeous National Parks limited the use of e-bikes, but now, you can take in the stupendous scenery on your trusty two-wheeled tourer! Different parks and even trails and pathways within a park have their own set of rules and regulations regarding electric bikes, so be sure you do your homework before planning your trip. Wherever you plan on going, you’ll have a better time on an e-bike than your car!
Taking to the trails at a National Park on your e-bike empowers you to go farther and see more breathtaking natural splendor with less effort than on foot or traditional bicycle. Not only that, but you’ll also still have the flexibility of enjoying a rigorous cardio workout since you can adjust how much pedal assistance you’d like on the fly. Climbing steep hills, blasting down winding trails, or trekking to that remote vista with stunning panoramic views has never been easier!
An electric bike also liberates you from the woes of finding parking at crowded lots during peak summer seasons. Hitting all your desired destinations on an e-bike frees you from the endless traffic jams that plague National Parks during the summertime. And you’ll feel good at the end of the day knowing that you were able to get up close and personal with nature without adding a single greenhouse gas to the pristine air.
Summer has finally arrived, and there’s no time like the present to get out there and enjoy all the amazing things this sunniest of seasons has to offer! A car can be a convenient and sensible way to travel to popular summer vacation destinations, but if it fits your lifestyle and itinerary, an electric bike can enhance the whole experience on another level. From leisurely beach trips to ball games and concerts, e-bikes can be a more convenient, flexible, and fun way to get to all your spots!

Stretching 18 miles from Monterey through Pacific Grove and up north to Castroville, the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail is one of the most picturesque ways to tour California’s iconic Pacific coast. Even if you miss out on animal sightings, you’ll be in awe of the non-stop views of the rocky coastline, unique cypress trees, and vibrant flowers that pepper this pathway. Make it a weekend and stop by the amazing destinations along this trail, including the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove. Cruise this 15-mile smooth, fully-paved path and marvel at the gorgeous Floridian fauna and wildlife, including birds, fish, and reptiles. An electric bike is a perfect way to get up close and personal with our beautiful natural world without having to worry about the headaches of finding parking in crowded national parks or getting winded after long rides through the wilderness.
Shop our collection of high-performance e-bikes and take advantage of our sensational Summer Savings event, where you can save up to $500 on best-selling models like the RipCurrent S and RipCurrent S Step-Through!]]>Thankfully, there are several precautions you can take to help keep your electric bicycle safe and secure when it’s parked. Here are six of the most effective safeguards against e-bike theft.
Invest in a quality e-bike lock and use it every single time you park your bike — even if you’re just stepping away for a few minutes or in what appears to be a safe area. Look for a heavy-duty lock with an excellent security rating and anti-theft features like a hardened double deadbolt for maximum protection (this Kryptonite bike lock fits the bill!). For added security, use two locks. This may seem excessive, but it’s all about making your electric bike as unappealing to would-be bike thieves as possible, and removing two locks is more of a hassle than one.
So what’s the best way to lock e-bikes? Ask a few riders, and you’ll likely hear different (and probably legitimate) answers, but this is a proven technique we recommend:
One last word of advice is to lock up your bike if you’re transporting it on a bike rack mounted on your vehicle. Nothing would be more tragic than looking in your rearview mirror at a traffic stop only to see your e-bike fall into the grimy hands of a crafty thief because you forgot to lock it down.
An excellent electric bike lock is a must for thwarting nefarious nogoodniks from riding away with your bike, but an alarm is added insurance against the unthinkable happening to you. Bike alarms emit a loud, high-pitched audio alert to draw as much attention to a grand theft e-bike in progress, which is an extremely effective way to stop criminals in their tracks.
The Juiced HyperScorpion and HyperScrambler 2 bikes come standard with a multifunctional horn/alarm system as standard equipment, but you can also upgrade any Juiced model with this dual horn/alarm.
When it comes to where you park your e-bike, there’s safety in numbers. If possible, leave your bike secured in a crowded public place, ideally in a reinforced bike rack with lots of other bikes around. Remember, the more eyes you have on your bike, the better. If you’re popping into a shop for a few minutes and there isn’t a bike rack nearby, try to lock your electric bike to a pole or signpost within your view. And when storing your bike at home, a garage with the garage door closed is the best option.
Want to instantly make your e-bike less of an attractive target for crooks? Simply remove the battery and take it with you whenever you park your bike! Without its battery, your electric bike has no power source to activate its motor, and an e-bike without a motor is just a bike —nothing special in the eyes of thieves dead set on swiping an electric bike. Best of all, it takes just seconds to take out your e-bike battery (compared to the lifetime of regret you’d have if your bike got stolen!).
Protecting your e-bike against theft is a numbers game, where the more measures you take, the less likely you’ll be a victim. But the cold reality is that no matter how many deterrents you employ, there’s still a small chance that your bike may get stolen. For this reason, theft recovery solutions like GPS trackers are essential to getting your beloved bike back. We highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag or Apple AirTag. These theft-recovery devices can be mounted underneath your bike’s seat, bottom bracket, or in the case of the AirTag, in a compartment built into your G2 battery pack. GPS tracking devices can alert authorities of the location of your stolen e-bike to help speed up the recovery process.
Here’s a nightmare scenario — some jerk steals your e-bike, and you don’t have a GPS tracker installed, so you have to fork over hundreds or thousands for a replacement bike. Thankfully, you can avoid this headache by insuring your e-bike. Shop around, and you’ll find dedicated e-bike insurance providers like Velosurance as well as specific electric bike coverage through big-name auto and homeowner insurance companies. It’s worth mentioning that some homeowners insurance providers cover e-bikes under their policies, but you’ll have to verify this coverage with your insurance agent.
Let’s face it, bike theft happens, but you’re now equipped with the tools and knowledge to help prevent it from happening to you. Purchasing and using a proper bike lock and e-bike alarm and wisely choosing a highly-visible public bike rack or similar place to park your bike can significantly reduce your chances of having your electric bicycle stolen. Browse our extensive collection of premium bike locks and get your peace of mind today!

Take one look at Savannah Saturn’s (also known online as TrippyDraws) custom hand-painted HyperScrambler 2, and you’ll instantly take a trip to a fascinating dimension of psychedelic splendor. The 23-year-old Pennsylvanian artist, musician, and content creator used paint, markers, and stickers to make her Juiced bike look like something out of this world. You’ll want to spend hours drinking in all the eclectic eye candy — swirling galaxies, little green aliens, a mini disco ball, and a groovy vibrant paint job create a truly cosmic-cool aesthetic. The finishing touch? Check out how Saturn decorated the dual battery packs on her HyperScrambler 2 to look like books!
If you dig how TrippyDraws totally transformed her Juiced bike into a two-wheeled trippy art exhibit, follow her on Instagram!
Who said the thrill of Juiced Bikes can only be enjoyed by humans? Certainly not Jeff Schildgen! The crafty San Diego resident added a sleek black crate to the back of his HyperScorpion Express so his canine companion can embark on exciting excursions to beaches, parks, and more. A bright yellow Scorpion draws plenty of admiring glances from people, but Jeff punched up the curb appeal by adding decals to his bike frame to create a unique caution tape aesthetic.
Some say love knows no borders — and this is definitely the case with Luke McKinna, who had his HyperScorpion shipped thousands of miles from the U.S. all the way to Scotland! Leaving the exceptional mechanical components of his Scorpion stock, Luke instead elevated the aesthetics and functionality with a few eye-catching enhancements. A custom-fabricated lighting faring evokes motorcycle vibes and really complements the Scorpion's moped-inspired styling. McKinna also upgraded his Juiced bike with a bespoke passenger seat and backrest to let his buddies come along for joy rides around his neighborhood. Setting off the whole package are tan wall tires that, in our humble opinion, really lend Luke’s bike a timeless look.
San Diego Juiced rider Arnell Gallardo has really outdone himself with all the awesome mods he’s added to his HyperScrambler 2. At first glance, you may just spot the front shock with gold vinyl-wrapped upper and modified mirrors. But look a little closer, and you may catch the handlebar-mounted Bluetooth speaker, headlight grill cover, custom carbon fiber vinyl-wrapped plexiglass covers, and folding pegs. The lengthy list of upgrades doesn’t stop there, though — Arnell lowered the rear of his Juiced bike with a 9.25-inch air gas shock with reservoir, and added trick lighting like a yellow fog light, strobe/steady white led cube pods, and LED lighting under the top tube. We love the subtlety of Arnell’s modifications and think it’s the perfect blend of form and function.
You can call Tyler Forester the MacGyver of Juiced modders — give him some metal wire, electrical tape, and a couple of weekends, and he’ll fasten a dog-ready sidecar onto a HyperScorpion! The Ohioan e-bike enthusiast works for a prominent auto manufacturer nearby but also owns a small e-bike business where he services and repairs e-bikes and even converts customers’ traditional bicycles into electric bikes. We love Tyler's ingenious setup, but how do his dogs like it? Forester says that his one-year-old Rat Terrier Bron loves calling shotgun in the sidecar, but 11-year-old Rat Terrier M.J. prefers to travel on four paws. You can’t please them all! So far, Tyler has logged 387 miles on his Scorpion, and he looks forward to many more miles cruising with his passenger pup. Check out all of Tyler’s sidecar shenanigans on his YouTube channel!
When it comes to personalizing your electric bicycle, these inventive Juiced riders prove that the sky's the limit. If you're considering modding your e-bike but don't know where to start, be bold, be passionate, and most importantly, be yourself — you're brimming with tremendous creative energy just waiting to be unlocked!
Determining which e-bike fits your body type can be challenging, but by the end of this blog, you’ll feel confident choosing a correctly-sized electric bike — whether you’re shopping in-store or online!
There are three measurements that you should know to help you size your electric bike:
If you overlook any of these critical measurements, you could end up with an e-bike that doesn’t fit you properly. So let’s take a close look at these measurements and how they factor into your electric bike fitting.
It turns out that knowing your inseam doesn’t just help you find that perfect pair of pants — it’s also arguably the most crucial measurement for sizing your e-bike. Your inseam length is the distance from the uppermost part of your thigh to the bottom of your leg. To find your inseam, make sure your shoes are off, use a tape measure, and measure from the crotch to the floor. Though not as important as inseam, you should also know your height to help you find an e-bike frame that fits your unique physique.
Another key measurement you should know is the electric bicycle’s standover height, which is the distance between the ground and the top of the bike’s top tube. Don’t worry if you don’t have the e-bike right in front of you — most electric bike companies list the standover height measurement in their online product specs. Compare the standover height to your inseam to ensure your feet are stably planted on the ground when standing over the bike. Generally, you should shoot for roughly an inch of clearance above the top part of the bike called the top tube. If you can’t stand securely on the ground, it probably means that the bike’s standover height is too big for you, and an e-bike with a shorter standover height would work better. Some new riders believe that both their feet should be firmly placed on the ground when seated on their electric bike, but this isn’t true. Read on to learn how to find the best seating position for you!
Once you’ve verified that you can safely stand over the e-bike, you’ll want to ensure that the bike’s seat height, or saddle height, works for you. There are a few easy ways to determine which seat height is right for you. If you’re checking out an e-bike in-person, you can find your ideal seat height by using the heel-toe method:
While checking out the e-bike, you'll want to ensure you can comfortably swing your leg over the top tube and seat. If you feel any discomfort or resistance, an electric bike with a step-through frame may work better for you. The RipCurrent S and CrossCurrent X offer step-through models to make mounting and dismounting easier for riders who may not have a complete range of motion necessary for bikes with traditional frames.
If you’re shopping online and cannot check out an e-bike in-person, there are a few ways to find your perfect saddle height. These methods involve a little arithmetic but nothing that requires a Physics degree to understand:
Don’t want to bother doing the math yourself? You’ll find many nifty bike seat height calculators online that do the heavy lifting for you! Once you have the bike’s seat height sorted, you’ll want to make sure that the reach, which translates to how comfortably your hands can reach the handlebars, is spot-on.
You’ll want to aim for a riding position with a slight bend in your arms without forcing you to reach too far to brake. An easy way to verify proper reach is to play piano keys on your handlebar — if you can comfortably play your imaginary piano, then you’re in a good riding position!
If you’re shopping for an electric bike online, check out the bike’s top tube length to help you determine an ideal reach. E-bikes with a larger frame size have a longer top tube, while e-bikes with smaller frames have a shorter top tube. A shorter top tube allows for a more comfortable reach for electric bikes with a more upright seating position because the seat and handlebars are closer.
You may have already found an e-bike that aligns with all the key sizing measurements, but before pulling the trigger, consider how much it weighs. Electric bikes weigh at least 40 lbs, which is roughly twice as much as traditional bicycles. Most riders have no problem with this added heft, and many find that it lends their e-bike a stable, confidence-inspiring “planted” feeling while riding. Still, some riders may want a lighter e-bike to carry it upstairs or load it into their car more easily. If you’re leaning towards a leaner e-bike, the RipRacer and CrossCurrent are excellent options. As an added bonus, the adjustable seat on the RipRacer even has a handle to help make carrying it around easier.
One last important consideration to keep in mind is that there is no universal e-bike sizing standard. You may have noticed that some e-bike companies size their models like t-shirts, offering small, medium, and large bikes, but these sizes vastly differ depending on the manufacturer. When sizing your e-bike, always review the exact measurements listed on the bike’s website and consider your inseam and height. Some e-bike companies, like Juiced Bikes, even have helpful height compatibility charts on their website to help you figure out if a bike is a good fit.
Simply put, pedal assist is an operating mode on your e-bike that engages the motor to deliver power to help you pedal easier and go faster. Electric bicycles with pedal-assist features do not require a throttle to control the motor (although, many pedal assist e-bikes also have a throttle, like all Juiced models). Instead, pedal-assist sensors instantly activate the motor whenever you pedal your e-bike. There are two types of pedal sensors to know: cadence sensors and torque sensors. Each pedal-assist sensor works differently and provides vastly different pedaling experiences.
Basic cadence sensors work like a switch — they turn the motor ON when you start pedaling and OFF when you stop pedaling. You control the power assistance level and speed by manually adjusting the assist mode on e-bikes with cadence sensors. Most e-bikes feature a cadence pedal sensor because it’s a simple and inexpensive way to deliver pedal assistance; however, some applications result in a laggy, jerky, and counterintuitive pedaling experience. Additionally, you'll encounter some resistance if you want to pedal faster than the motor is spinning. This is the most common type of pedal assist sensor in e-bikes priced from $1,000 – $2,500+.
Much more advanced than cadence sensors, torque sensors use a precision strain gauge to measure the actual force you exert on the e-bike pedals, sampling at 1,000 times per second over the entire pedal stroke. Torque pedal-assist sensors measure how hard you pedal to determine how much electric power to supply. In effect, the harder you pedal, the more power the motor delivers. If you pedal softer, the motor provides less power. This progressive power delivery results in a much more smooth, responsive, and pleasant pedaling experience compared to e-bikes that rely on just a cadence sensor for pedal assistance. The only drawback of torque sensors is that they cost significantly more to implement than cadence sensors, which is why you’ll typically only find this pedal-assistance technology on premium e-bikes.
Juiced Bikes offers a cadence and torque sensor on most models to give you the best possible pedal feel, the smoothest ride, and maximum control over your e-bike's available power. This class-leading dual pedal assistance technology means that when you pedal your Juiced bike, the sensors instantaneously respond to and amplify your every input, delivering the exact amount of power whenever and wherever you need it! Whether you’re out on a long-distance trek or have a hilly commute, having cadence and torque pedal assist will give you the extra oomph you need to arrive at your destination buzzing with energy instead of sopping wet with sweat.
If you’re clamoring for more cardio, you can manually lower the pedal assistance level or shut it off entirely using the advanced LCD to increase the resistance and enjoy a fun, low-impact workout. With pedal assist, you’re always in complete control of the intensity of your exercise! The flexibility of tailoring your pedal assistance in real time lets you enhance your riding range, too. Combining manual and power-assisted pedaling will net a much better range than using your throttle during your entire ride. Not only that, most riders find pedal assistance more intuitive than using the throttle to power their e-bike rides — this lower learning curve means a wider range of riders can immediately enjoy all the benefits e-bikes offer!
Hopping onto a Juiced bike and unleashing an electrifying shove of pure power each time you pedal is a rush like no other. Our dual pedal-assist technology featuring cadence and torque sensors works seamlessly to provide silky smooth take-offs, unbelievably crisp responsiveness, and ultra-precise control over when and how much power you’ll get at the pedals.

Thousands of weary commuters fed up with terrible traffic, parking woes, and insane gas prices are happily switching from cars to e-bikes — and you can make the move, too. To celebrate Bike to Work Day and hopefully inspire you to choose a less stressful way to commute, we’re excited to share stories from some of our favorite Juiced Bikes commuters!
Logging more than 7,000 miles on his Juiced bikes over the past five years commuting to St. David’s Medical Center and Austin Emergency Center, Dr. Ryan McCorkle is an all-star Juiced commuter. Ryan first began biking to work back in Buffalo, New York, during his emergency medicine residency, but he upgraded to a Juiced bike once he moved to Texas so he wouldn’t arrive at work sweaty but could still ride home with less pedal-assist for a stress-alleviating workout. His HyperScorpion can hit speeds of 30 mph and features integrated turn signals, brake lights, and a loud horn to help him get to work quickly and safely.
Ryan also uses his Juiced bike to commute to his other gigs as a backstage medical professional and doctor for the University of Texas football and Austin FC soccer teams. “Those rides are all 10-15 minutes on the e-bike and I’m inside the venue, where in a car it would take at least 45 minutes to battle traffic, find a parking spot and get into the venue,” says McCorkle.
Besides the unbeatable convenience, Ryan loves the mental and physical benefits of commuting via electric bike. “When you’ve been in the ER for 8-12 hours pretty stressed out, it’s a godsend to de-stress and ride that e-bike around a little bit before you come home,” he says. “It gives you a chance to unwind, to feel the wind on your face and look at the beauty of the city.”
Ever wondered what it’d be like to travel the country soaking in all the natural splendor with your very own eccentric e-bike “gang”? Broadway backstage sound tech and avid electric bike enthusiast Chris Devaney did exactly that! After taking her friend’s CampScrambler for a spin, Chris was hooked on Juiced Bikes — she immediately bought the same bike and embarked on countless group rides with her buddies in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
The beautiful bonding moments Chris shared with her riding buddies inspired her to take their camaraderie to the next level — an opportunity she gladly seized at the Texas State Fair, where the crew piled into a van wearing animal costumes to take pictures and show off their awesome e-bikes. “People were coming up to the van and asking to take pictures with us…it was such good, fun, beautiful energy with friends and strangers that we had really been missing since the pandemic started,” says Devany. The crew had so much fun at the event, spontaneously coining themselves “The Vanimals” and vowing to enjoy more e-bike excursions together.
Chris currently calls New York City her home, where she commutes to work every day on Broadway riding one of her five Juiced bikes (that would be three Scramblers, a HyperScorpion, and a Founder's Edition HyperScrambler 2!). Her daily commute ranges from 20 – 40 miles roundtrip, depending on her work schedule. "The best part is my daily commutes went from something I dreaded to my absolute favorite parts of my day because I get to ride my bike. It is pure joy. Even in the rain. Even in the snow. Even in 8-degree weather with wind gusts of 50+ mph. The. Best. Part.," gushes Chris. To date, the Vanimals' leading lady has logged more than 11,000 miles on all her Juiced bikes — and at the rate she's going — this is only the beginning!
Retired Marine Staff Sergeant, flight student, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor — you could call Bryan Deleon Guerrero a jack of all trades. Being on the go constantly in his gas-guzzling SUV spurred Deleon Guerrero to switch to a commuter e-bike so he never had to pay for another tank of ludicrously expensive gas again. Bryan wisely opted for a Scorpion for commuting duty and loved the freedom, functionality, and fun that only a high-performance e-bike can deliver. “Never did I think that I could survive living in San Diego without a car,” he said after a nearly 21-mile commute one day that included rides to the gym, flight school, and his favorite study spot. “After today, I realized that riding the e-bike is something that I want to do beyond today. I want to see how long I can carry that streak and replace driving my car with riding the e-bike.” More power to you, Bryan!
Ryan, Bryan, and Chris are shining examples of riders who fully leverage all the benefits of e-bikes to save time, money, and stress on commuting. However, we understand that e-biking to work isn’t realistic for everyone. If you’re wondering if you can commute with an electric bicycle, ask yourself questions like:
If you’re shopping for a new electric bike for yourself or a lovely lady in your life, here’s a rundown of the must-have features female riders desire in their e-bike.
Electric bikes appeal to such a broad range of riders partly because they’re a highly functional mode of transportation — and for women — this is doubly true. Modern e-bikes have advanced to the point where many female riders effectively use them as a replacement for their cars. Long gone are the days when e-bike riders broke out in cold sweat over range anxiety — the ultra-efficient Juiced Bikes line-up offers long-lasting batteries for unbeatable riding ranges, from 35 miles to over 100 miles on a single charge! This expansive riding range gives female riders the freedom to go farther and do more with their e-bikes, whether it’s breezing through congested commutes or exploring the great outdoors.
Expanding on this formidable functionality, electric bikes can deliver surprisingly spacious cargo-carrying capacity. Certain Juiced bikes like the HyperScorpion Express feature an extra-wide modular rear rack to accommodate cargo bags and crates, but you can easily upgrade other models with storage racks to securely store groceries, work gear, and more. And because all Juiced models pack potent motors generating best-in-class power, you can effortlessly lug around your gear without straining yourself or your e-bike.
Another perk of such a highly-functional fun machine is that they’re so easy to ride that other family members can enjoy them. Not only does this make for plenty of opportunities for physical activity, but it also relieves moms from daily chauffeur duty!
Hobbling around after a rough ride or toppling over after trying to mount your e-bike isn’t a good look. That’s why women of all ages look for an e-bike that provides a smooth, comfortable riding experience. Getting on and off an electric bike can be a bit tricky for shorter female riders or those with physical mobility challenges. Thankfully, Juiced Bikes offers step-through models like the RipCurrent S Step-Through and CrossCurrent X Step-Through to make gracefully mounting and dismounting your bike a breeze.
Another important consideration is the overall weight of an e-bike. Riders are often surprised to learn that electric bikes weigh anywhere from three to five times as much as traditional bikes. Many female riders report that the extra heft gives their e-bike a reassuring "planted" feeling during rides, but those concerned about living with a heavier bike should check out lightweight e-bikes like the RipRacer. It's also worth mentioning that this is our most size-inclusive e-bike and has an adjustable seat (with a convenient carrying handle) to accommodate riders from 5' to 6'3".
Female riders also appreciate cruising on an electric bike with a nice cushioned seat with ample support for short and longer rides. Juiced riders rave about the cushy extra-large saddles on the HyperScorpion and HyperScrambler 2 bikes. Both bikes’ dual suspension and fat tires also seamlessly absorb bumps for a supremely comfortable riding experience over almost any terrain.
Complementing the comfort quotient is a smooth and responsive pedaling experience achieved through Juiced Bikes’ advanced torque and cadence pedal assistance. This innovative technology works together to deliver precise power based on how hard riders pedal. Riders love this smooth, seamless, and intuitive power delivery that instantly responds to every input!
Moms aren’t the only riders who place safety and reliability at the top of their e-bike must-have features checklist — the class-leading safety and bulletproof dependability offered by every Juiced bike gives any rider the ultimate peace of mind. On the subject of safety, Juiced Bikes is one of the first e-bike companies to equip its entire model range with SGS certified to UL 2271 batteries, providing the industry’s best rating for fire protection. Taking rider safety a step further, Juiced Bikes is in the final stages of earning certification to UL 2849 standards, which offers fire safety certification for all e-bike electrical systems.
Another essential e-bike safety feature you should look for is hydraulic disc brakes. Your average cyclist will hit speeds of around 12 mph on traditional bikes, but riders on certain e-bikes can zoom past 30 mph! These breathtaking speeds demand the heavy-duty stopping power delivered by front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, a standard safety feature on all Juiced Bikes models. Don’t settle for an e-bike that has anything less! In addition to hydraulic disc brakes, you’ll want an e-bike loaded with other premium safety features like rearview mirrors, turn signals, an ultra-bright headlight, a brake light, and a loud horn. (Yup, you guessed it — all available features on Juiced bikes!)
Moving on to reliability, the last thing you want is for your e-bike to leave you stranded by the side of the road or out in the wilderness. Unfortunately, there are a lot of cheap, poorly-engineered electric bikes on the market right now, tempting riders with a seemingly low price but ultimately shortchanging them with subpar safety features and questionable reliability. On the other hand, Juiced Bikes are meticulously built bikes designed, engineered, and supported by a passionate team of e-bike experts in San Diego, California. From the moment you purchase your bike to routine services down the road, you can confidently enjoy miles of smiles knowing that your adventures are backed by a world-class team of seasoned e-bike technicians with decades of experience.
When it comes to electric bikes, you’ll want a chic model that has the irresistible curb appeal to match its performance, functionality, and safety. Juiced Bikes offers a complete collection of smartly-styled e-bikes to suit any aesthetic, from ruggedly handsome fat-tire bikes to sleek and stylish commuters to striking moped-inspired models. Whichever bike style you fancy, you’re sure to revel in eye-catching styling touches like custom-designed cast aluminum wheels, motorcycle-style headlights, and fetching frames finished in an assortment of head-turning colors.
This month, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reminding bicyclists to do their part to help stay safe while riding. Following safe riding practices is essential for all cyclists, but it’s even more crucial for e-bike riders because they accelerate faster and hit higher speeds than traditional bikes. Unfortunately, many automobile drivers aren’t accustomed to the pace at which e-bikers ride, putting them at an increased risk when riding in more densely populated areas.
Instead of bombarding you with frightening statistics, we’ve curated the top 10 e-bike safety tips to help you stay safe while riding on the road. So strap on your helmet, don your reflective clothing, and let’s roll!
This may go without saying, but it’s so critical to rider safety that we’ll say it anyway — always wear a helmet whenever you ride your e-bike! Head injuries are the most serious injury a cyclist can sustain, so wear a properly-fitting helmet that meets the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standards to reduce your risk. How often should you replace your helmet? The CPSC recommends replacing your e-bike helmet every five to 10 years. However, if you get into a crash, replace your helmet before you ride again.
Just like a car, you should inspect vital components on your e-bike to spot worn or damaged parts and prevent avoidable accidents. Here’s what you should examine on your electric bike:
Repeat this process with the right-hand brake lever. If your brakes squeal or slip, your brake pads may need to be replaced.
Electric bikes weigh 40–50% more than traditional bicycles, presenting a tipping hazard for some young-at-heart adventurers or riders with mobility issues. Mounting and dismounting are when tipping-related injuries happen the most, so exercise extra caution when getting on and off your e-bike. If you want an electric bike that’s super easy to mount and dismount, consider the RipCurrent S Step-Through or CrossCurrent X Step-Through.
See and be seen is a simple rule of thumb for staying safe while riding your electric bicycle on the road. Illuminate the road and enhance your visibility to motorists and other cyclists by riding an e-bike with an ultra-bright headlight and integrated brake light, like the HyperScrambler 2. Consider purchasing a helmet with a magnetic taillight or adding reflective strips to your outfit to draw more attention to yourself during rides in dim or low visibility conditions. And wear reflective or bright-colored clothing while riding during the day or night.
Remember to ride like you’re driving. Ride in the same direction as car traffic, and obey all traffic signs, signals, and lane markings. Know your state’s laws regarding e-bike classification and how they impact your e-bike options. Most e-bike manufacturers and state laws follow this class system, but it’s always important to check your local laws to determine helmet requirements and age restrictions:
Signaling your intent to turn is not only courteous to other riders and motorists but also vital to safe on-road riding. Higher-end e-bike models like the HyperScorpion and HyperScrambler models make signaling easy thanks to integrated turn signals. If your electric bike doesn’t have turn signals, use hand signals to alert motorists and other cyclists when you turn left, right, brake, or stop.
Nothing beats the adrenaline rush you get when you blast through congested traffic on your high-performance e-bike! But with great speed comes great responsibility. Electric bikes can hit higher speeds (some Juiced Bikes models can go over 30 mph!) than traditional bicycles, so periodically check your speed and always obey local speed limits. In addition to being much faster, e-bikes also weigh more than conventional bikes, so make sure you brake earlier for traffic stops, crossings, turns, and obstacles.
Keep your wits about you and focus on traffic flow while riding on the road. Make eye contact with motorists and pedestrians if you cross in front of them. Exercise good judgment and never ride while texting, intoxicated, tired, or upset. Be a proactive cyclist and anticipate the movement of motorists, other cyclists, and pedestrians. Again, ride like you're driving!
Think about how much time you spend glancing at your mirrors compared to turning your head to look at the traffic around you. Though these seconds may seem trivial, any time spent looking away from the road ahead is potentially dangerous. Mirrors maximize your visibility on all sides of your e-bike while minimizing the time you spend looking away from the road. The HyperScorpion and HyperScrambler sport a set of rearview mirrors, but you can also add them to your electric bike as an accessory.
E-bike batteries are water-resistant, not waterproof — meaning they can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction, condensation, and water spray. While riding your electric bicycle in light rain is perfectly safe, you should avoid riding in heavy rain because the constant, high-pressure spray from the water on the road will potentially force water into the e-bike battery. On that note, big puddles, flooded streets, and other standing water can also potentially damage your battery, so postpone your ride if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

One obvious reason: $2,700, the average amount Americans spent on gas in 2022. Now, compare this staggering number to $24, the average amount Americans spent on electricity to charge an e-bike in 2022. Factor in the continually skyrocketing cost of routine car maintenance, insurance, and registration, and you’ll understand why an e-bike is a massive cost saver and legitimate car replacement for many drivers!
Serious savings aside, drivers across the country are making the switch because e-bikes produce zero emissions, provide ample opportunities for low-impact cardio exercise, shave time off of congested urban commutes, and offer a more exciting, efficient, and convenient way to get around.
Now that you know all the reasons why e-bikes are viable car replacements, you may be ready to start shopping for your own electric bike. But it’s important to remember that not all e-bikes are created equally. If you’re serious about ditching your car or reducing car miles with the help of a new e-bike, you’ll want (and need) a model that can stand up to the rigors of the road. Here is a handy checklist of essential features your e-bike should have to be an effective transportation alternative.
Probably the most important buying tip we can offer to any new customer: buy an e-bike with the biggest battery you can afford! Battery size ultimately dictates how much power, speed, and, most importantly, riding range you can expect from an e-bike. Most electric bikes on the market right now have 36-volt or 48-volt batteries delivering underwhelming power, speed, and range; however, all Juiced Bikes models sport a huge 52-volt battery capable of supporting massive power, breathtaking speed, and a vast range of up to 100 miles on a single charge. If you want to replace car miles with an e-bike, you’ll want as much riding range as possible to avoid the anxiety of limited battery power. It’s also critical that your battery and charger can be safely charged in your home, office, garage, or any place along the way. Unlike many other e-bikes, all Juiced bikes boast battery packs that are SGS certified to UL-2271, meaning they earned the industry’s top safety rating for fire protection.
If you’re planning to ride with or around cars, it’s important to find an e-bike with enough get-up-and-go to confidently move through traffic. A larger motor means you'll get more power for quicker speeds, faster take-offs, and better hill climbing capabilities. Many e-bike brands list the motor’s peak power because it’s the bigger number, but you can only use this power for short periods. Nominal power, on the other hand, can be continuously applied without damaging the motor. That’s why Juiced Bikes lists the nominal power of e-bike motors because it accurately represents the power you’ll always get while riding. All Juiced Bikes pack the most powerful motors available — either 750 or 1,000 watts of nominal power with peak power ranging from an impressive 1,000 watts to 2,000 watts!
The explosive popularity of electric bikes has unfortunately flooded the market with cheap models that lure unsuspecting riders in with an attractive price at the expense of essential safety features. Electric bikes are high-performance adventure vehicles capable of rapid acceleration and maximum speeds up to 30+ mph, so buy an e-bike that comes fully loaded with safety features. Juiced Bikes models offer class-leading safety gear in every model. The most important of these is, without question, hydraulic disc brakes for superior stopping performance at higher riding speeds (a signature of most e-bikes). For an added layer of rider safety, Juiced bikes are also equipped with ultra-bright headlights, and many models include dual rearview mirrors, turn signals, integrated brake lights, and a loud horn to let car traffic know you’re nearby.
Here’s a scary statistic — a bicycle is stolen every 30 seconds in the U.S. Your electric bike is a valuable possession worth upwards of thousands of dollars, so investing in an e-bike alarm or chain lock is excellent insurance against bike theft. These simple anti-theft measures are affordable, easy to use, and effective in thwarting baddies from stealing your e-bike. You can easily add an alarm to your e-bike or get a high-end electric bicycle like the HyperScrambler 2 and HyperScorpion, which feature a standard anti-theft alarm to help deter would-be thieves.
One of the most common arguments in the e-bike vs. car debate is that electric bikes aren’t a viable alternative to cars because they lack sufficient storage space. Cargo racks are an excellent way to expand the utility of your e-bike by providing convenient and roomy storage for your gear. Riders add spacious baskets, crates, and even insulated grocery bags to their e-bike cargo racks to securely transport everything from food to laptops.
OK, an e-bike will never be as comfortable as a cushy full-size luxury car, but you’d be surprised how much thoughtful creature comforts add to your overall enjoyment of each ride. Juiced Bikes models like the CrossCurrent X Step-Through bump up the comfort quotient with nice touches like upgraded gel bike seats, ergonomic lock-on grips, and step-through frame designs to make mounting and dismounting a breeze. If your car trips often involve pothole-riddled roads or other less-than-desirable surfaces, opt for an e-bike with dual suspension, like the HyperScorpion. The adjustable front and rear suspension on this best-selling bike effortlessly absorbs bumps in the road for a much smoother ride. To enhance your ride quality further, look for an electric bicycle with fat tires. These wide, meaty tires deliver extra cushioning and help soak up bumps on rough and smooth terrain for an unflappable riding experience wherever you go.
Flats happen — but with puncture-resistant tires on your electric bike — you can make them happen less often. All Juiced Bikes models come equipped with ultra-durable puncture-resistant tires to give you the ultimate peace of mind riding around with one of the best safeguards against flats. We recommend picking up a portable air pump to keep your e-bike tires inflated at the proper PSI wherever you ride.
Let’s be real — dirt, dust, or mud will inevitably get kicked up during your rides. Without front and rear fenders on your e-bike, this nasty grime will end up all over your clothes. Save yourself the embarrassment of showing up to work in a mud-spattered outfit and ride an e-bike featuring full fenders.
Just like a car, you can enhance the functionality, utility, and versatility of your e-bike with a host of accessories and upgrades. Juiced Bikes models come loaded with essential comfort, safety, and performance features, but you can still boost your bike with awesome accessories like a phone mount with an integrated charger or even a passenger kit so you can bring a buddy along for thrill rides on your HyperScorpion.
